Gisela Cortese | Los principios del infinito

The principles of infinity. When visible matter confronts the power of the invisible, battles ensue. Measurements of forces and possibilities on blank, empty, dark fields, where the fight with shadows is the only real fight. Life after life, year after year, day after day we return to the darkness to build the possibility of a beginning. Flashes, lines of light, clashes of forces and shapes that finally dissolve again into the void to begin again. In these openwork drawings, the paper is presented as an experimental surface to trace the cosmic force of some primordial combat and see what is there where everything is possibility. The glass pieces are, in their purest transparency, fossils of these battles. Witnesses of the invisible.
