Sometimes, the organic volumes that I create represent or refer –by metonymy– to a female body; while in others it is no longer possible to distinguish anything other than pure abstractions, masses and corpulences that highlight the lasting legacy of minimalism and at the same time evoke modern design. In relation to the conceptual, my line of research revolves around gender themes from the point of view of sensuality, eroticism and corporality. I seek to point out how women are instruments of regulations and social norms, inherent to our cultural construction, which in one way or another determine and condition our own actions.
My intention is to achieve, through these exercises of material spillover that denote a certain placidity, to metaphorically get closer to the liberation of the preconceptions established about the bodies, therefore reflecting a certain overflow or flaccidity, in each of them, as if they were liberating actions of the norms that exercise control over individual behaviors that silence voices and freedoms.
