Building an Imaginary Landscape

“To speak of wonder is to speak of the marvelous. To contemplate what exists, what disturbs, what shocks. Thus, we begin to perceive the mysteries of existence and wonder about them. Everything that is, is because it exists. But we do not know what it is, why, and what it is for, how it is, where it comes from, or where it is going. Perhaps it is the divine work to create what surrounds us, the world, the universe, eternity, infinity, time; and all that has its origin in wonder.

With that premise, I intervene through different strategies, different supports. I seek to build an imaginary landscape, as the object of an encounter, a here-now. As a place that does not yet exist from which inexhaustible here-nows and nows sprout, always new, with other forms in a free and wild state, from a mobile horizon, from an always off-center center, from an always displaced periphery that repeats and differentiates them, exploring the relationships that exist between the landscape we perceive and ourselves.”
